Les \u00eatres humains exp\u00e9rimentent la fermentation depuis des milliers d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es. Cependant, amener la fermentation \u00e0 une \u00e9chelle industrielle n&rsquo;est pas si simple. Les obstacles techniques \u00e0 la r\u00e9glementation posent de nombreux d\u00e9fis aux entreprises industrielles. Dans ce blog, nous allons discuter de certains de ces d\u00e9fis et vous donner un aper\u00e7u de la complexit\u00e9 de cette technologie, en commen\u00e7ant par quelques obstacles techniques.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La fermentation est un<strong>processus biologique.<\/strong> Cela signifie que <strong>plusieurs param\u00e8tres du fermenteur<\/strong> peuvent provoquer une d\u00e9faillance de la production. Discutons de certains des goulots d\u2019\u00e9tranglement du processus de fermentation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Puret\u00e9 des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L&rsquo;absence de puret\u00e9 des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res<\/strong>\u00e0 fermenter ou la pr\u00e9sence de produits chimiques provoquant des contraintes dans le milieu : C&rsquo;est un probl\u00e8me courant dans la production de biocarburants. La plupart des micro-organismes seront inhib\u00e9s par la pr\u00e9sence d&rsquo;alcool ou d&rsquo;acides organiques, deux composants g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement impliqu\u00e9s dans le processus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Concurrence dans le fermenteur<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pr\u00e9sence de microorganismes ou de phages ind\u00e9sirables dans le fermenteur :<\/strong> Cela peut entra\u00eener une perte partielle ou totale de la production. La fermentation industrielle n\u00e9cessite un environnement de production st\u00e9rile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Inhibition du produit<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L&rsquo;inhibition des produits est \u00e9galement un obstacle technique \u00e0 consid\u00e9rer :<\/strong> C&rsquo;est un type d&rsquo;inhibition enzymatique o\u00f9 le produit d&rsquo;une r\u00e9action enzymatique se lie \u00e0 l&rsquo;enzyme et inhibe son activit\u00e9. Par exemple, Newlight Technologies est une entreprise qui produit un bio-plastique appel\u00e9 AirCarbon. Il leur a fallu pr\u00e8s de 10 ans pour <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/greenchemistry\/presidential-green-chemistry-challenge-2016-designing-greener-chemicals-and-specific\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9velopper un biocatalyseur qui ne \u00ab\u00a0s&rsquo;\u00e9teint pas\u00a0\u00bb en fonction de la quantit\u00e9 de polym\u00e8re produite\u00a0\u00bb<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Limites intrins\u00e8ques aux micro-organismes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L&rsquo;incapacit\u00e9 des micro-organismes \u00e0 transformer des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res \u00e9conomiquement viables :<\/strong> Un exemple est la production de vanilline par fermentation. Divers pr\u00e9curseurs de la voie de biosynth\u00e8se de la vanilline dans les micro-organismes peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s, tels que l&rsquo;eug\u00e9nol ou l&rsquo;acide f\u00e9rulique. L&rsquo;acide f\u00e9rulique peut \u00eatre r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de d\u00e9chets d&rsquo;usines agricoles, qui constituent un mat\u00e9riau de d\u00e9part bon march\u00e9 pour la bioproduction. Cependant, la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration de l&rsquo;acide f\u00e9rulique des parois des cellules v\u00e9g\u00e9tales semble quelque peu compliqu\u00e9e et co\u00fbteuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les souches recombinantes de bact\u00e9ries, de champignons et de levures<\/strong> repr\u00e9sentent une alternative int\u00e9ressante aux souches de type sauvage, et un ensemble diversifi\u00e9 de m\u00e9thodologies a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 pour concevoir et optimiser la bioconversion de divers pr\u00e9curseurs de la vanilline. BASF et Conagen font partie des organisations qui d\u00e9veloppent de tels micro-organismes de mani\u00e8re industrielle :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B6d_QugpScJ\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B6d_QugpScJ\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#808285\"><strong>D&rsquo;autres goulots d&rsquo;\u00e9tranglement peuvent appara\u00eetre,<\/strong> tels qu&rsquo;un d\u00e9bit m\u00e9tabolique inefficace, des m\u00e9thodes de traitement co\u00fbteuses en aval en raison des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physico-chimiques du substrat et du produit, et un m\u00e9tabolisme plus pouss\u00e9 du produit souhait\u00e9 par les micro-organismes s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#48a7a5\"><strong>Toutes ces questions techniques peuvent avoir une incidence indirecte sur les co\u00fbts en influant sur les calendriers de production et la qualit\u00e9 des produits ou en impliquant des \u00e9tapes suppl\u00e9mentaires de recherche et de d\u00e9veloppement.
